Welcome, Readers!

The contest Save the Picture Book has ended. Telling people about funny, informative, beautiful, or generally awesome picture books continues. I also share middle grade books, book apps, and educational apps that my kids and I like.

For Authors, Illustrators, Agents, and Publishers

I would love to have authors, illustrators, agents, and publishers support this project…and spread the word about their favorite books in the process. Here are three ways:

1. Check the Monthly Themes post. If you have a book that fits a theme, please let me know. The book should have been published in the last few years. If it is brand new, it should be available by the month it is featured.

2. If you have a picture book you’d like to donate for a prize (which doesn’t need to follow any particular theme,) I’d love for you to send it to 7443 Walnut, Kansas City, MO 64114. Prizes will be highlighted on the blog and on Facebook.

3. Finally, if you know of a parent, grandparent, child, teacher, librarian, bookstore owner, or anybody else who might be interested in participating in Save Everything! (and the Picture Book,) I’d love for you to spread the word. Simply email the blog link, or post it on your blog, Facebook page, Twitter, family holiday card, etc.

If you have questions, please email me at authorbheos@gmail.com or post them in the comments.

I know lots of people are working hard to promote picture books. If you have a fun promotion going on, I'd love to hear about it!

Together we can Save Everything!(and the Picture Book.)

A Big Picture Book Land Thank You

I'd like to thank Jen Laubinger, event planner extraordinaire and my friend since our early picture book days, for helping me develop Save Everything! (and the Picture Book.)

Thank you also to my agent Kelly Sonnack of Andrea Brown Literary Agency for supporting my picture books and this promotion.

And thank you to YOU for championing picture books, the original imagination factories!
